Ibrahim Ahmed Badr.
I build scalable backends & infra.
I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt, specializing in designing high-traffic cloud-native applications, microservices, and robust APIs. I combine deep engineering expertise (C#, Node.js, Rust) with a strong architectural focus to build secure and scalable SaaS and Fintech solutions.
About Me
Hello! My name is Ibrahim and I enjoy creating things that live on the internet. My interest in software development started back in university while studying Business Information Systems. Since then, I've dived deep into backend architecture, microservices, and modern AI protocols like MCP.
Fast-forward to today, and I've had the privilege of working at a digital agency, major B2B SaaS startups, and high-scale PropTech and Fintech companies like Money Fellows and FocalAgent. I excel in environments that require complex multi-tenant infrastructures, AI workflow orchestration, and enterprise governance systems.
Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:
- C# & .NET Core
- TypeScript & Node.js (NestJS)
- Rust
- Clean Architecture & SOA
- Azure Kubernetes (AKS)
- RabbitMQ & GraphQL
Where I've Worked
Senior Software Engineer @ Money Fellows
Sep 2025 - Present- Architected a dynamic data translation engine across microservices and databases, enabling multi-language support for millions of active users.
- Introduced and scaled message broker infrastructure (RabbitMQ) to establish reliable asynchronous communication.
- Optimized critical background tasks and batch jobs to ensure high availability for high-throughput financial transactions.
Senior Software Developer @ FocalAgent / PropertyBox
Oct 2024 - Present- Architected scalable backend APIs to power the PropertyBox PropTech platform, facilitating real-time data sync with real estate CRMs (e.g., Alto).
- Engineered robust data pipelines to orchestrate AI-driven image processing workflows (automated enhancement, floor plans) for thousands of estate agents daily.
- Developed a complex Model Context Protocol (MCP) server (`bitbucket-mcp`) in Rust/TypeScript to bridge LLM agents with internal enterprise tools.
Lead Backend Engineer @ Wateen
Jun 2024 - Present- Engineered the entire backend cloud infrastructure from the ground up, establishing clean architecture principles and CI/CD best practices.
- Led technical architecture decisions, aligned cross-functional teams with agile processes, and defined system requirements for scalability.
Senior Software Developer @ Aldar International
Jul 2024 - Present- Developed secure backend systems for enterprise Risk Management and governance tracking.
- Architected robust APIs facilitating secure data exchange and integrations with multiple banking institutions, ensuring strict financial compliance.
Senior Back-end Developer @ SubsBase
Oct 2022 - Feb 2025- Architected the core backend for a B2B SaaS platform handling millions of requests globally.
- Designed and integrated 14+ global payment gateways and engineered secure multi-tenant datacenter connections.
- Developed complex features using .NET Core, NestJS, and GraphQL, and managed AKS container deployments.
Back-end Developer @ Fifth Dimension
Jul 2021 - Sep 2022- Led the migration of the Umbraco CMS from legacy .NET Framework to .NET Core.
- Engineered secure authentication flows using OAuth and Azure AD for enterprise applications.
